• How does the process work?

Know your challenge? Ready for a quote or proposal from us?

    create a brief

  • Where's the work done?

Our team can be in our client's office or our offices in Brisbane, Sydney, the Gold Coast or Melbourne.  If face to face interaction and direct access to specific systems are helpful, they'll probably be in the client's office.

  • Why strategy assistance?

When clients have a non-legal problem but they don't have the time or the experience to fix it, or a different perspective is needed.

If answers are needed to questions like … We are still under budget pressure – what more can we do?  The team is busy but the business expects more and faster – how can we do that?  How can technology help?  There must be a better way to do this – how?  We don't know how to explain our value to the CEO.

  • Is lexvoco a law firm?

  • How is it costed?

This is completely up to clients.  We'd prefer not to do hourly rates, unless a client demands it.

Some of our lawyers work on day, weekly or monthly rates.  Some clients have access to various lawyers for a monthly fee.  Sometimes fees are fixed for a matter or a project.

For strategy and process improvement advice, we have also worked based on incentives.

Because our people are our employees, we take care of their total employment costs – wages plus superannuation, payroll tax, insurances, incentives, leave, loadings, and professional memberships, training and certification etc.

  • What about the quality of the lexvoco team?

We're legal recruitment experts.  Just like your business, our success hinges on the quality of our people and many apply to work with us so we've developed a strict hiring process.

    • Pre-Q: experience from a top firm and in-house team.
    • Interview 1: technical and client satisfaction skills.
    • Interview 2: EQ, beliefs, culture and fit.
    • Practical testing: specific tests analysing quality from a legal and client perspective.
    • References
    • Psych testing for senior people.
  • Who engages who?

Our team are our employees.  We have an agreement with clients to ensure our team performs.

  • What about confidentiality and conflicts?

Our lawyers are bound by numerous legal obligations.  Firstly, they have their duty to the court to maintain confidentiality, no conflicts and privilege.  This is also reflected in various Legal Profession Acts.  We also have this explicitly addressed in a Legal Profession Obligations Agreement, their employment agreement and our Staff Handbook.  In any event, at no time does anyone from lexvoco HQ ask for or have access to such information.  If clients want more certainty, we'll facilitate a separate Confidentiality Agreement with our lawyer.

  • What if the scope of work or the timeframe changes?

Flexibility is key to our model.  Clients tell us and we re-scope, and work with our team to make sure clients get what they need.

  • What if a client is unhappy with the arrangement?

We'll do our best to understand why and fix it, or there'll be no charge.

  • Can clients interview lexvoco team members?

Yes but most of our clients don't because our people are our employees and our hiring process is rigorous.  This saves clients time and resources.
